Eid-El Fitr: NGO trains 120 Islamic on first aid emergency response

A  Non Govermental Organisation (NGO) Wunti Al-khair Foundation in collaboration with Jamatul Nasurul Islam (JNI) has trained 120 members of Joint Islamc Aid Organizations on emergency response to ensure hitch-free Sallah celebrations in the state.
Alhaji Bala Sani, Chairman Joint Islamic Aid Organizations in the state disclosed this during the closing ceremony of the training on in Bauchi.
He noted that the objective of the training is to provide conducive atmosphere and hitch free Sallah celebrations across the state.
Sani said the training was to provide the participants with basic and technical skills on crowd and traffic management, emergency response, public enlightenment as well as risk communication, among others.
According to him, the 120  participants were drawn from all Islamic organisations across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State as training of trainers for stepping down to the members.
The Chairman said the training is a continuous process, adding that the training is organized for each of the Sallah celebrations comprising of the Eid-el-Kabir and Eid-el-Fitr.
He appreciated the foundation for the initiative, stressing that the gesture would further complement the effort of the state government in ensuring a successful Sallah Celebrations.
While speaking on behalf of the foundation Isiaka Wunti, said the aim of the training was to expose the beneficiaries to a new emergency response system in line with global base practices.
“It  was also informed by the foundation’s determination to ensure that thousands of Muslim faithful attending various eid grounds are properly guided and protected. 
“The foundation is concerned with the safety of worshipers before, during and after the Sallah hence the need for the training. Wunti Said
He urged the participants to use the knowledge acquired in a manner that would impact positively to the well-being of the people of the state.
The resource persons were drawn from the Red Cross, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Vehicles Inspection Office (VIO) Health Personnel.
