Armed robbery suspect arrested in Delta with 340 rounds of AK 47 ammunition, others.

Delta State Police Command has arrested an armed robbery suspect with 340 rounds of AK47 live ammunition, 1 English double barrel gun, 1 locally made gun and 28 rounds of live cartridges. The Command’s PPRO DSP, Bright Edafe has revealed.

The suspect was arrested during stop and search operation by Policemen attached to Bomadi  Divisional patrol team along Bomadi-Tuomo road.

The suspect, Solomon Ebe 37 years old was intercepted on a motorcycle carrying a bag containing Garri in which the suspect concealed the ammunition.
In a similar vein a team of policemen in warri received a distress call that a tricycle with registration No FHR 600 QF was snatched by four armed gang at Hausa quarters and headed towards Delta line  Warri – Sapele road Warri. 


After mobilisation of policemen by the DPO, the police gave the hoodlums around Warri a hot chase in the process of which one of the suspects, Efe David age 22 years jumped down from the tricycle  and was arrested while the other three escaped with the tricycle. 
Information was quickly disseminated to other Divisions and vigilantes which fortunately led to the arrest of one of them by the vigilante group with the snatched tricycle while two of the robbers escaped.

The Vigilantes were over powered by irate mob who delivered instant jungle justice on the suspect. 
The tricycle was cut to size, a double barrel gun with two live cartridges  and some suspected stolen pieces of gold plated jewelries were recovered.

The Delta Police raider squad raided  Utuloho Street Ozoro, recover 1 English double barrel gun and 26 live cartridges in possession of one female Ejiro Efemijoghor who claimed that the gun belongs to her husband. 
Further investigation on all the suspects is ongoing.

Nigerian Army neutralized seven Armed Bandits while several others flee with gunshots wounds in the late hours of Monday. 

The bandits in large number according to reliable source attempted to infiltrate and attack the troops at Kango Sabuwa. The gallant troops of Sector 1 Operation Hadarin Daji in conjunction with troops deployed at Forward Operating Base Wanke were steps ahead of them.

This was achieved by the troops in an ambush operation along the route suspected to be used by the Bandits.

The troops Shortly after the encounter proceeds in pursuit of other fleeing wounded bandits, recovered 1 Machine Gun, ammunition and 6 Motorcycles from the armed bandits.

The Commander Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji, Major General Godwin Mutkut commends the troops for their bravery and resilience in dealing with the Armed Bandits.

The commissioner of police, Kano state command has dare the devil thugs in their hideouts at the top of the Historical Pyramid widely referred to as the ancient Dala Hills (Dutsen Dala) which symbolizes economic hub of the city but unfortunately hijacked earlier by thugs who turns it as their den.

The Dutsen Dala becomes criminals haven and a criminis oasis to hide and rendezvous especially for the purpose of perpetrating crimes and illicit drugs dealings turning the hill into criminal haven, a totally no go area for the decent and hell for those with no criminal inclination. 

Gumel revealed that his command is poise at changing the narrative making it free and safe from what it hitherto used to be during the initial peace regime. 

Gumel said “All these achievements to say the least is as a result of the commitment of our officers and Community Policing dimensions employed by the State Police Command.”

He further pointed out that “Moreover, members of the public should note that in our collective efforts towards maintaining peace and security, especially the menace of thuggery, a total of forty nine suspected thugs have so far been arrested at Mandawari, Bachirawa, Farm Center, Hotoro, Dorayi Babba and Dala Hills.”

Search light of the command according to CP Gumel also beam and extended towards Dala Grave Yard and Chiranchi General Area where it is becoming a den of the infamous unrepentant ones.

CP Gumel revealed that a total of ninety two suspected criminals were arrested by his command within the last two weeks with recovery of some dangerous weapons, Illicit Drugs, Motor Vehicles, Tricycles, Motorcycles, and others.

He disclosed while giving breakdown of the arrest and the recovered items that Eighteen were arrested for Armed Robbery, Six Suspected Kidnappers, Four Suspected Drug Dealers, Six Suspected Thieves, Two Motor Vehicle Thieves, Three Tricycle Thieves, One Motorcycle Thief,  Forty Nine Suspected Thugs,Three Suspected Fraudsters.

Items recovered are One Baretta Pistol, One Anti-Riot Gunner Recovered from Madobi and Seven Locally Made Guns, Two Motor Vehicles, Two Tricycles and a Motorcycles, Four Cattle, Three Hundred and Sixty-Eight Wraps of Dried Leaves Suspected to be Indian Hemp, One Hundred and Sixty-Seven Suspected Diazepam drug, Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Suspected Exol Tablets, Nine Hundred and Thirty-Three Sharp Knives and Fifteen other Sharp Irons, Eleven ATM Cards.

The commissioner who express his satisfaction with the concerted efforts, dedication and professionalism of his personnel also appreciates the people of the State for their continued support, understanding and cooperation in the fight against crime and criminality in the State. 

He charged all Police Officers under his Command are to redouble efforts in crime fighting as the reward for good work is more work.

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji Repel Bandits Attacks, kill scores In Zamfara

Troops of joint task force of Operation Hadarin Daji operating in North Western Nigeria has neutralize several bandits who aim to attack the two communities of Rogoji village in Bakura local government area and Sakida community of Janbako district of Maradun local government area of Zamfara State.

The troops who acted on credible intelligence according to credible sources chase the fleeing bandits with high volume of fire power who became scared out of their wits on sighting them  neutralizing five of the assailants in the process.

Two AK 47 riffles, some special ammunitions, unaccertain number of goats, donkeys and cattles were recovered by the troops.

The recovered animals, our source revealed were already handed over the recovered animals to their lawful owners 

The resilient troops continued with their operations with a view to eliminate the bandits and deny them freedom to unleash mayhem and killing of innocent souls.
