“I am  the winner of the chairmanship election of the party and was legitimately elected by the stakeholders of the central zone that consist of 6 local government areas
“Which include , Ganjuwa, Ningi, Warji, Darazo, Misau and Dambam all elected me as the chairman of the party,” he said.
He appreciates stakeholders and supporters of APC in the central zone and the state for giving him the mandate as the chairman of the party in the state.
Kunde pledged to work towards returning the lost glory of the party and reconciliation of party supporters  with one form of differences and grievances.
A stakeholder of the party Alhaji Adamu Noma explained how Sanusi Kunde emerge the chairman of the party in the state
He beat the congress on Saturday   three other aspirants for the position of the state chairman of the party stepped down for Hon Sanusi Aliyu Kunde.
“As a result of stakeholders’ pacification and the subsequent step down of other aspirants, stakeholders have unanimously endorsed Hon Sanusi Aliyu Kunde as the next Chairman of APC in Bauchi State,” he said.
Hon Noma said that some of the critical stakeholders of the party attempted to hijack the congress through a rancorous meeting in Abuja that sought to produce a consensus candidate anointed by Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.
He said that it was resolved at the meeting in Abuja that a congress be convened to elect the party’s chairman for the state but no official from the National Secretariat of the APC showed up to supervise the election in Bauchi.
Noma said after it became apparent to them on the day of the election that officials of the party from Abuja were nowhere to be seen at the venue of the congress, they decided to go ahead with the congress.
He said that stakeholders of the APC failed to agree on a consensus candidate during their meeting in Abuja, hence the resolution to hold the congress in Bauchi.
“We have given all our national lawmakers attention but they are not responding. The leadership of the party has been a challenge for long in the state.
“We want to make it 100 percent APC and so we call on our members to be loyal. That is why we are having a careful leadership”
He expressed confidence that the current crisis would not affect the fortunes of the party.
Noma appealed to the national leadership of the party to recognise Hon Sanusi Aliyu Kunde, who it claimed was unanimously endorsed by the stakeholders from the state.
Another Stakeholder Hon. Yahaya Imam explained the critical stakeholders meeting held in Abuja that paved the way for Kunde to become chairman in a stakeholders consensus.
He said the decision was taken by the Bauchi State Critical stakeholders in a meeting in Abuja on October 14, 2021 at Plot 17, Euphrates Crescent Maitama Abuja.
“It was decided that stakeholders from Bauchi Central Senatorial district should come and elect  the next Chairman of the party as a result of failure to reach a consensus in Abuja. “The stakeholders held a meeting on October 16, 2021 with three aspirants for the position of state Chairman of the party namely Honourable Muhammad Musa Bayero, Hon Ali Ibrahim Dogarai and Dr Auwal Muhammed step down for Hon Sanusi Aliyu Kunde
“As a result of stakeholders’ pacification and the subsequent step down of other aspirants, stakeholders have unanimously endowed Hon Sanusi Aliyu Kunde as the next Chairman of the APC”
He said that Kunde was the choice of the APC in the state saying the calim that the seven member committee headed by Jibriln Sam never conducted any congress nor returned elected Babayo Aliyu Misau as Chairman as it is claiming
He accused the  Education Minister Mallam Adamu Adamu of hijacking the party structures and imposing Hon. Babayo Misau.
“The minister who has never contributed anything for the development of our party cannot just impose a candidate via a telephone call.
“He did not even attend our meeting, he just placed a phone call and imposed a candidate on us; we will not allow this shenanigan to stand”, he said  “At the end of the meeting in Abuja We decided the congress must be held in Bauchi. We fixed October 16, and waited up to five in the evening and no officials came.
“We went to the office of the congress party and informed them that there was no delegate that participated.
“October, 16 being the day of the congress, we decided to conduct our own congress. The APC in Bauchi State has long been tampered with so we decided to conduct ours at Zaranda Hotel, Bauchi,” He ss8
He alleged that members of the People’s Democratic Party have infiltrated the APC in the state and assured that the new leadership in the state led by Kunde would bring sanity to the party.
“That is why we have taken the mantle of leadership from the other side. This is why we have started afresh.
