Bukola Saraki warn to stay clear of Zamfara politics

Sani Muhammad Sani

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has been advised to stay away on political occurances in Zamfara State, especially as regards to his comments on the recent impeachment of the state former Deputy Governor, Mahdi Ali Gusau whose removal followed his gross abuse of office. Sen. Hassan Lawan Dan Iya has urged.

Saraki according to Dan Iya is completely ignorant of happenings in Zamfara State and should know that Zamfara is not Kwara explaining that he should therefore not meddle in the affairs by feeding falsehood to many Nigerians in respect of the removal of the state’s Deputy Governor by saying due process was not followed.
Senator, Dan-iya Representing, Zamfara West Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate explained that as a former law maker, Saraki is now known for destroying the decades of the Saraki political dynasty in Kwara state and Nigeria in general.
“should have revealed what due process was missed in the process, from the charges to how the state House of Assembly impecably handled the matter to the investigation of the legal committee set up by the state Chief Judge to submission of the report and then the impeachment.”
“Mr. Saraki is absolutely wrong and Zamfara will not accept anyone within and outside, making any attempt to bring us on collision course when we have already moved on positively.” Dan Iya said
He noted that the PDP having been pained by the defection of governor, Bello Matawalle from the PDP to the APC last year, went to court asking the judiciary to remove the governor from office.
The courts after delving into the case throw away the litigation because of the issues of freedom of association and the constitution which gave right to Matawalle to defect to another party of his choice.
These Dan Iya said did not matter until now that Saraki, a presidential aspirant of the PDP, while trying to cause problem in Zamfara, use such rights and privileges against the state of Zamfara.

It must also be noted that, he said that Mahdi’s refusal to join his boss to the APC was his personal choice and not even an issue, he pointed out that while the governor was moving to the APC, he never asked his deputy to do so, rather, he assured that they will continue working for the growth, development and progress of Zamfara even as members of different political parties.
“Therefore Bukola should carry his meddlesomeness elsewhere because he cannot change where fate has put us at this time”
