SANI Muhammad Sani Kano State Police Command have arrested three suspected kidnappers, two notorious drug dealers with illicit drugs worth millions of Naira. Police Public Relation Officer PPRO to the State Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa has disclosed Friday.
The three Suspected Kidnappers, Salihu Usman, Mubarak Aliyu age 24 and 18 years are residents of Anguwan Rogo and Duwala area of Jos, Plateau State the third suspect Sahibul Husna Auwal 27 years resides at Kwanar Ganduje in Kano State.
The trio contacted their victim (name withheld) through telephone calls threatening to kidnap him or any member of his family if the two million naira as ransom is not avail. The arrest was subsequent to a report to the police by the victim, also a resident of Kwanar Ganduje, Sharada Phase II Quarters.
The victim was contacted again with the same telephone number threatened to be kidnap, where he gave the suspects the sum of One Million Naira.
Upon receipt of the complaint, the Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, raised and instructed a team of detectives to trace and arrest the culprit. The suspects on preliminary investigation, confessed to have conspired and sent threatening text messages to the complainant demanding the sum of Two Million Naira.
They also confessed to have previously collected the sum of One Million Naira from the victim.
The command also recorded another feat by raiding a House located at Sabuwar Gandu Quarters, Kumbosto LGA, where two suspects, a 25 year old Musa Abdullahi and Imran Muhd age 27, of Dandire and Tirkawa Area of Sokoto State were arrested.
The two suspects were arrested in possession of 129 packets of Exol Tablets valued at N3.225 thousand Naira, 25 Empty packets of Diazapam Tablets, 8 Mobile Phones, 10 I’D Cards with different photographs, 1 Toshiba Laptop, 1 Sharp Horn, 1 suspected Army face mask, a Bunch of charms and the sim N67,935.00. All suspects according to Kiyawa will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.

The bandits in large number according to reliable source attempted to infiltrate and attack the troops at Kango Sabuwa. The gallant troops of Sector 1 Operation Hadarin Daji in conjunction with troops deployed at Forward Operating Base Wanke were steps ahead of them.
This was achieved by the troops in an ambush operation along the route suspected to be used by the Bandits.

He further pointed out that “Moreover, members of the public should note that in our collective efforts towards maintaining peace and security, especially the menace of thuggery, a total of forty nine suspected thugs have so far been arrested at Mandawari, Bachirawa, Farm Center, Hotoro, Dorayi Babba and Dala Hills.”

He disclosed while giving breakdown of the arrest and the recovered items that Eighteen were arrested for Armed Robbery, Six Suspected Kidnappers, Four Suspected Drug Dealers, Six Suspected Thieves, Two Motor Vehicle Thieves, Three Tricycle Thieves, One Motorcycle Thief, Forty Nine Suspected Thugs,Three Suspected Fraudsters.
Items recovered are One Baretta Pistol, One Anti-Riot Gunner Recovered from Madobi and Seven Locally Made Guns, Two Motor Vehicles, Two Tricycles and a Motorcycles, Four Cattle, Three Hundred and Sixty-Eight Wraps of Dried Leaves Suspected to be Indian Hemp, One Hundred and Sixty-Seven Suspected Diazepam drug, Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Suspected Exol Tablets, Nine Hundred and Thirty-Three Sharp Knives and Fifteen other Sharp Irons, Eleven ATM Cards.
The commissioner who express his satisfaction with the concerted efforts, dedication and professionalism of his personnel also appreciates the people of the State for their continued support, understanding and cooperation in the fight against crime and criminality in the State.

Troops of joint task force of Operation Hadarin Daji operating in North Western Nigeria has neutralize several bandits who aim to attack the two communities of Rogoji village in Bakura local government area and Sakida community of Janbako district of Maradun local government area of Zamfara State.
The troops who acted on credible intelligence according to credible sources chase the fleeing bandits with high volume of fire power who became scared out of their wits on sighting them neutralizing five of the assailants in the process.
Two AK 47 riffles, some special ammunitions, unaccertain number of goats, donkeys and cattles were recovered by the troops.
