    Kidnapped Widow Escape from Abductors

    A widow Hawwa Ummaru and her baby abducted by kidnapppers in Ngurore Adamawa State has escaped unharmed from the criminals. PPRO to Adamawa State Command, DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Ngurore has disclosed.

    The command’s reinvigorated special action plan on the ongoing fight against  Kidnapping, armed Robbery and other violent crimes across the state resulted to the escape of the woman and her child. The Command’s operatives and members of vigilantes gave hot pursuit of the kidnappers after locating them at their den. 

    The criminals abandoned their victims and escaped.The Victims are now undergoing medical attention.The command’s frequent  Operations aimed at preventing and dislodging Kidnappers from their current operational spaces and denying them space to regroup in other parts of the State will be sustain according to the PPRO with a view to ensure the arrest of the kidnappers and their collaborators. 

    The State Commissioner of police Mohammed Ahmed Barde, assured the  Government and people of Adamawa state that his Command will continue to do everything within its powers to guarantee stable security across the State. The Commissioner, calls on the civil populace to work with the Police and other security agencies in the joint tasks of safeguarding the State, especially in the area of providing useful, relevant and timely information to security operatives.

    Police ban durbur celebrations accross Kano State

    The Kano State Police Command has banned durbar celebrations across all 44 local government areas of the state for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir. This decision was announced by the command’s public relations officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Wednesday.

    According to Kiyawa, the command has put in place adequate security measures to ensure peace and order in all parts of the state before, during, and after the festive period. This is part of the command’s commitment to maintaining peace in conjunction with relevant security stakeholders.

    As a result of security reports and consultations with stakeholders, all durbar activities have been banned throughout the state for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. However, worshippers are advised to conduct their normal Eid prayers at designated Eid praying grounds.

    The command encourages collaboration and cooperation from all stakeholders to build a safer and more secure environment. The public is also urged to report any suspicious movements or items to the nearest police station or through the command’s emergency contact numbers: 08032419754, 08123821575, 09029292926, or through the NPF Rescue Me Application or social media platforms.

    Security Agents will maintain Status quo on Kano emirate tussles.

    The combined security team in Kano state will abide by the court order with suit No: FHC/KN/CS/2024, dated 23rd of this month which was issued by the federal high court sirttin Kano. The state commissioner of police Muhammad Usaini Gumel revealed this to newsmen at the state command’s headquarters, Bompai Kano, Saturday.

    The court order which orders for the status quo to be maintain.

    The Commissioner stressed that as law enforcement officers, security agents will arrest anybody, no matter his status in the society who takes advantage of the crisis rocking the emirate councils in the State.

    Gumel explained that the law suit is expected to be addressed by the court next month on 3/6/2024 and disclosed that all security agents will everything according to their mandate to ensure peace accross the State.

    Thugs sponsored by a politician to disrupt innauguration of Kano Commisdioners arrested.

    Miscreants have been warn to stay off critical government activities and functionsries accross Kano State as failure to do so will invoke dire consequences on invaders, their sponsors. Kano state command’s public relations officer, SP. Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa has revealed Friday.

    The warning was issued Thursday during innauguration of the newly appointed Commisdioners at the government house Kano by the governor of the state, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

    Eight suspected political thugs were arrested during the function while attempting to breach peace.

    “The suspected thugs that constituted themselves as pressure group and supporters of one of the infamous politician attemted to breach law and order.’

    The Police assures members of the public that all necessary measures have been taken to prevent any act that could lead to disruptions of peace and security in all parts of the State.

    The State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, reiterated the determination of the police command to ruthlessly deal with any miscreant or their sponsors that tries to disrupt peace under whatever guise, especially during critical Government functionaries and will be made to face dire consequences.
