The commissioner who was represented by the director administration and general services of the ministry, Alhaji Muttaka Iliyasu Yakasai while flagging off the distribution of covid 19 materials at the ministry’s premises further explained that the distribution of the items is to ensure that people continue to form the habit of sanitizing their body and environment regularly.
The commissioner urged the 44 LGAs heads of WESH department to make sure that the items provided to them reaches the intended destination .
The deputy director water environment and sanitation hygiene, Hajiya Saddika Faruk said the monthly distribution of the COVID 19 materials is part of the effort being made across the state which is aim at sanitizing the environments.
She called on the people of the state to always visit hospital and other health facilities and report any symptoms of Diphtheria and other diseases for taking prompt actions.
Ashafa Ibrahim fourteen years old was drowned in a pond sorounded by hot rice chaps, rescued by the men of Kano state fire service was pronounced dead by medical experts.
The fourteenth year old is a student of an Islamic school who fell in an open still water around 12:26 pm at Danzaki Ramin Kwarin mai Kaca.
The victim was successfully retrieved from the pond with high degree of burnt on his body, rescued unconscious but later confirmed dead.
An eye witness confirmed that the victim fell into the hot rice dust and into the water.
