Troops Exterminate ISWAP, Boko Haram

4 others get killed in IED Explosion. Troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) deployed alongside Cameroonian Defence Force have Exterminated Four ISWAP and Boko Haram  Terroridts recovering three AK 47 rifles, six magazines and 50 rounds of 7.62mm special in the process at Forward Operating Base Wulgo. Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General, Onyema Nwachukwu has revealed.

Troops also foiled an attempted infiltration of the terrorists group into the camp, while on a patrol to dominate their area of responsibility. 
The troops swiftly responded with overwhelming volume of fire and spontaneous reinforcement from the Battalion Headquarters, compelling the terrorists to retreat.

The troops immediately carried out a hot pursuit and exploitation after the encounter, along the terrorists’ route of withdrawal and neutralised three Boko Haram Terrorist’s. 
In another development, four ISWAP/BHTs terrorists have met their waterlooo,  around 151 Battalion location.

The terrorists were burnt beyond recognition, as their Gun truck mounted with Anti Aircraft Guns ran over Vehicle Improvised Explosive Device. Own troops are currently conducting further exploitation ahead of the location to clear any surviving terrorist.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has commended the efforts of the troops and charged them to remain aggressive and   focused, as they dominate their areas of operational responsibility, in order to ensure complete extermination of the terrorists and restoration of normalcy.

Nigeria’s President Tinubu say’s country’s pilgrim who return $80,000 to owner in Saudi is a pride of all.

President of Nigeria, Mr  Ahmed Bola Tinubu will honour Zamfara pilgrim Hajiya A’ishatu ‘Yan Guru Nahuce who found $80,000 in Saudi Arabia during the last Hajj exercise and return the money to it’s rightful owner. Chairman Zamfara State Hajj Commission, Alhaji Musa Mallaha has revealed.

Mallaha disclosed that the president is overwhelmed by the act of honesty exhibited by the female pilgrim hence he directed the National Hajj Commission to organize a national press conference to interview the woman for record keeping while in Saudi.

When the directives was given by the president according to Mallaha, the woman was already airlifted back to Nigeria adding that arrangements are in top gear to ensure the presidential directives is implemented as soon as possible.

Mr. Mallaha who revealed that president Tinubu expressed delight and pointed out that Hajiya Nahuce has brought respect and honour to her country Nigeria said the commission’s preparation towards the national press conference in Nigeria now will include the State governor, Dauda Lawan keying into the activities.

Mallaha further said that her honesty is a pride to all Muslims accross the globe.

The woman during the last excise stumbled into the money while performing Tawaff at the Ka’abah, she said that she kick the bag of the money to a distance for fear of been trample upon if she bow down to pick it up because of the large crowd. An Arab Pilgrim who saw her action pick the bag and gave it to her thinking that it was hers.

Mrs. Nahuce who was sponsored to Hajj by her son’s revealed that it was her first trip to the holy land.

She further revealed in an interview that, she took the money to the officials of her local government Hajj commission and handed it over. The officials met Saudi Authorities and within few days the owner was found and the money was returned to him.

She commented that she was not aware of the magnitude of her action until she was back home to Nigeria where she understands that the news went viral before her arrival

Vigilante Group, Forest Security, Hunters Caution on the Use of Unlicensed guns, Excessive use of Uniforms

Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Nigerian Hunters and Forest security has been cautioned to checkmate uncontrolled use of uniforms by their members, wielding dangerous Unlicensed Weapons and use of Excessive Force with a view to avoid taking laws into their hands.

Kano state commissioner of Police, Muhammad Hussaini Gumel gave the advice during a meeting with the trio groups in his office, Wednesday.

CP Gumel who directed the groups to continue to work closely with Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in their jurisdictions Appreciates Members of the groups for their Willingness in Providing dual Support and Working Together with the police in crime Fighting.

CP Gumel commended the dedication of the groups personnels that assisted immensely in ensuring a very peaceful Eid-El-Kabir Sallah Celebrations. 

The Commissioner called on the two Outfits to continue to give maximum cooperation as the issue of security is a collective responsibility. 

Earlier in his remarks, the Commander Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Kano State Command, Alhaji Shehu Rabi’u stated that, the group are in the commissioner’s office to express their gratitude and  commend him for expressing his willingness to work with the Vigilantes.

The head of the Vigilante Group sought for guidance from CP Gumel in discharging their duties, and will continue to take advice, guidance and correction from the police being professionals in all spheres of security. 

The Commander, Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS), Alhaji Usman Mu’azu Abdullahi in his remarks stated that the group’s aim of visit to the Police Command is to thank the CP for a job well-done in securing Kano State.

Abdullahi pledge his group contineous  co-operation with the police and to contribute their quota to safeguard the State from criminal elements also pledging their readiness to give the police maximum support to succeed in their mandate.

Police in Kano returns found money by tricycle rider to owner, presents sovenaire, gifts to the Samaritan

A commercial tricycle rider in Kano, Bala Abdulrahman has been Commended for exhibiting high level of honesty and exemplary behaviour by taking money he found by the roadside to the Nigerian police force Kano state command.

Mr. Abdulrahman found the money at about 1:30 pm on the 14th of this month along Kwanar Dawaki in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area in a polythene bag which he later discovered that it contain large amount of money. He outrightly delivered to the Police.

Abdulrahman, a resident of Gunduwawa, Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State reported at Fagge Police Division with the money in the black polythene bag.

The state commissioner of police, Muhammad Hussaini Gumel immidiately released an announcement inviting the owner to come to the Police Public Relations Officer’s (PPRO) office at Bompai Police Headquarters Kano, SP, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa to establish proof of ownership.

A claim was laid  on the bag of money after the police announcements and the money was released to the rightful owner after rigorous investigations and satisfactory confirmations on the claim by the office of the PPRO five days later.

The money discovered in the bag was the sum of three hundred and thirty thousand naira which has been handed over to the owner.

The Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Usaini Gumel presented the tricycle rider with a gift and a sovenaire for his honesty, good conduct and for being God-fearing and as also a symbol of encouragement to others to emulate.
