Gunmen ransack Abuja estate, abduct fifteen

A gang of unspecified number of gun men have Friday invaded an estate situated at a satellite town of Abuja, Nigeria dispossessing the inhabitants of their valuables and kidnapped fifteen person’s including a pastor, his wife and three children.

The name of the pastor’s and his family were not yet ascertained at the time of filing this report.

The attack was carried out at Grow Home Estate in the Chikakore area of Kubwa satellite town around 11:30pm Friday. 

A resident of the estate, Mr. Hassan told newsmen Saturday that the number of abducted persons during the one-hour assault are not fewer than 15 persons.

The gunmen escaped with the victims through the forests that linked the community with Paze village got scared after the sound of gunshots from the local vigilantes which enable about seven persons to escape. 

The pastor and his wife with their children still remain with their abductors. 

A team of policemen from the Byzahin division and Kubwa Area Command were seen at the scene of the incident for preliminary investigations.

Police spokes person of of the FCT command, Josephine Adeh,  when contacted confirmed the incident and assures that both the police and the vigilante were combing the bush for traces of the abductors with a view to rescue the abductees.
